Year Two at Sunnybank is comprised of two single classes. All curriculum planning is done cooperatively.

Our primary aim in Year Two is to develop self-motivated, independent and happy students who are responsible and respectful members of the school and wider community.

A two hour Literacy block each day focuses on reading, writing, spelling/phonics, grammar, handwriting and speaking; and includes small group (according to ability ) rotational activities.
Rotational Maths activities are also utilised, allowing time for individual instruction, attention and intervention. A small band of very welcome parents regularly assists us during these activities.

This year’s Unit for Semester One is: Australian Animals.
